For a firm mark such as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL, a single large watermark in the center rotated 45° is usually enough. To make it harder to remove from view, choose tile mode, which repeats the watermark across the whole page.
Set the opacity to around 20–40% so the document text stays comfortable to read. The watermark is drawn on top of the page content, so too high an opacity will cover the text underneath.
A watermark helps mark the status or origin of a document, but it is not protection: a skilled person can remove it from the PDF. Don’t rely on it to hide confidential information; use Redact PDF for that.
Yes. Choose Image / logo and upload a PNG, JPG or WebP. A PNG with a transparent background looks cleanest because only the logo shows.
Yes. Choose Range, then type the page numbers, for example 1-3, 5. Choose All pages for the whole document.
Not easily from the saved file, but it is not impossible for a skilled person. Your original file is not changed, so keep a copy if you need a version without the watermark.
Text uses the standard PDF font (Helvetica), which supports Latin letters and accented European letters. Other scripts and emoji are not supported; use an image watermark for those.
No. Everything runs in your browser, so documents such as contracts, diplomas or payslips never leave your device. You can test it yourself: open the tool page, wait a moment, disconnect from the internet, then choose a PDF. With an ordinary PDF, the tool keeps working.
Password-protected PDFs can’t be processed with this tool yet, and it will tell you if you choose one. Unlock the file first with the Unlock PDF tool on Tipamedia (you need the correct password), then try again.
