Use Fill & Sign PDF

Your file is processed on your device. This signature is visual (an image), not a certified digital signature.

How to use Fill & Sign PDF

  1. Choose or drag one PDF file, then open the page you want to fill in.

  2. Press Signature, Text, Date, Checkmark, White box, Highlight or Stamp. The object appears in the middle of the page: drag it to move it, or use the arrow buttons.

  3. Adjust the content, size and color of the selected object, repeat for other pages, then press Save PDF.

Three ways to create a signature

Draw directly with your finger, mouse or pen on the screen. Type your name turns it into slanted, handwriting-style text. Upload an image uses a photo or scan of your signature on white paper; the white background can be made transparent so it doesn’t cover the text underneath.

The signature is kept only while this page stays open. Once you close or reload the page, you will need to create it again.

What it can and cannot do

You can add text (Latin letters, standard PDF font), a date, a checkmark, a yellow highlight, a white cover box, and stamps such as PAID or APPROVED. Each one is a new layer on top of the page, and its position is calculated correctly on rotated pages too.

This tool does not change text that is already in the PDF and does not fill in interactive form fields. If your PDF has fillable fields, type into them directly in a PDF viewer, then flatten the file with Flatten PDF Form if needed.

Questions about Fill & Sign PDF

Is this signature legally valid?

This is a visual signature in the form of an image. Whether it is accepted depends on who requests the document and on the type of document, so ask them. This tool does not issue an electronic certificate and is not legal advice.

Can I edit text that is already in the PDF?

No. This tool adds objects on top of the page. A white box can cover old text visually, but the original text is still in the file and can be copied.

Why is my text rejected?

Text uses the standard PDF font (Helvetica), which supports Latin letters and accented European letters. Other scripts, such as Arabic, Chinese or emoji, are not supported. The tool shows which characters are the problem.

Is my signature sent to a server?

No. The signature is drawn and embedded entirely in your browser, and it disappears when the page is closed.

What about password-protected PDFs?

Password-protected PDFs can’t be processed with this tool yet, and it will tell you if you choose one. Unlock the file first with the Unlock PDF tool on Tipamedia (you need the correct password), then try again.

What is the maximum PDF size?

100 MB per file. This limit keeps the browser, especially on phones, from running out of memory. Files that large can feel slow; if it stalls, close other tabs or try a computer.
