A percent of a number: number × percent ÷ 100. What percent A is of B: A ÷ B × 100. Percent change from A to B: (B − A) ÷ A × 100. Price after a discount: price × (1 − discount ÷ 100).
Example: a 25% discount on an item priced at Rp200,000 saves Rp50,000, so the final price is Rp150,000. Tax rates and service fees can change, so use the “Add / subtract %” mode with the latest rate that applies.
Final price = price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). Example: a price of Rp200,000 with a 25% discount becomes 200,000 × 0.75 = Rp150,000.
Use (new value − old value) ÷ old value × 100. A positive result means an increase, a negative result means a decrease.
If an interest rate rises from 10% to 15%, that is an increase of 5 percentage points, or 50% relative to the starting value.
No. A 50% discount followed by a 20% discount is applied in sequence: 0.5 × 0.8 = 0.4, so the total reduction is 60%, not 70%.
Standard English format (commas for thousands, a period for decimals) as well as plain numbers. So 1,500,000, 1500000 and 12.5 are all recognized.
