Use Crop PDF

Your file is processed on your device and never sent to a server.

How to use Crop PDF

  1. Choose or drag one PDF file.

  2. Move the crop lines in the preview, or enter a percentage for each edge. The resulting size in millimeters is shown.

  3. Choose which pages to crop, then press Crop pages and download the result.

Cropping the same amount on every page

The crop is expressed as a percentage of the page size, not a fixed number of millimeters, so one setting can be used on documents whose pages differ in size. It suits removing scan margins or white edges before printing or sharing.

The crop lines can be dragged with a mouse or finger, or moved with the arrow keys when focused. Number fields are available for precise settings.

Cropping hides, it does not delete

This tool sets the page’s display box (CropBox). PDF viewers only show the area inside it, but the content outside is still stored in the file and can be recovered by someone who knows how.

So don’t use cropping to remove confidential information. For that, use Redact PDF, which actually removes the content.

Questions about Crop PDF

Does the file get smaller after cropping?

No. Content outside the visible area is still stored, so the file size stays almost the same. To make the file smaller, use Compress PDF.

Can I crop pages of different sizes at once?

Yes. Because the crop uses percentages, each page is cropped in proportion to its own size.

Are rotated pages still cropped on the correct side?

Yes. The crop is calculated from the display direction, so the Top side means the top as you see it, on rotated pages too.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser, so documents such as contracts, diplomas or payslips never leave your device. You can test it yourself: open the tool page, wait a moment, disconnect from the internet, then choose a PDF. With an ordinary PDF, the tool keeps working.

What about password-protected PDFs?

Password-protected PDFs can’t be processed with this tool yet, and it will tell you if you choose one. Unlock the file first with the Unlock PDF tool on Tipamedia (you need the correct password), then try again.

What is the maximum PDF size?

100 MB per file. This limit keeps the browser, especially on phones, from running out of memory. Files that large can feel slow; if it stalls, close other tabs or try a computer.
