What is the difference between an invoice and a receipt?
An invoice is a request for payment: it lists the goods or services, the prices and the due date, and is sent before the customer pays. A receipt is proof that payment has been received, issued after the money arrives.
For a single transaction, many businesses send an invoice first and give a receipt once payment comes in. This tool creates both with the same business details.
