WIB (Western Indonesia Time) is UTC+7 and applies in Sumatra, Java and other western parts of Indonesia. WITA (Central Indonesia Time) is UTC+8 for Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi and other central areas. WIT (Eastern Indonesia Time) is UTC+9 for Maluku and Papua. Indonesia does not use daylight saving time.
Many countries, such as the United Kingdom, European countries, the United States and southern Australia, shift their clocks in certain seasons. The time difference with Indonesia therefore changes through the year. This tool uses the browser’s built-in time zone database, so calculations follow the rules for the date you choose.
WITA is one hour ahead of WIB, and WIT is two hours ahead of WIB. So 10:00 WIB is the same moment as 11:00 WITA and 12:00 WIT.
No. Indonesia’s three time zones stay the same all year.
Zones far to the west or east can be on different days. For example, 22:00 WIB on Monday is already Tuesday in Sydney. The +1 day and −1 day markers help you check this.
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the world time standard and does not change with the seasons. Other time zones are expressed as an offset from UTC, such as UTC+7 for WIB.
