At 300 dpi, the usual resolution for photo printing: 2×3 cm = 236×354 pixels, 3×4 cm = 354×472 pixels, 4×6 cm = 472×709 pixels, 35×45 mm = 413×531 pixels, and 2×2 inch = 600×600 pixels. This tool calculates the sizes and writes the dpi into the file, so print apps read the physical size correctly.

For uploading to portals, many sites limit the file size, for example 200 KB at most. Choose a file size limit in the settings, and the tool lowers the JPG quality, without changing the pixels, until it fits.

This tool crops, sizes and lays out print sheets, but it does not remove or replace the photo background. The red, blue or white color in the settings only fills empty areas when the photo is moved or shrunk until there is room at its edges. For a red or blue background, use a photo taken against a plain background.

The face position guide is only an approximation. Official requirements such as head size, background color, clothing and expression differ by agency and change often, so read the organizer’s rules before printing or uploading.

The print sheet PDF has a page size exactly equal to the paper (for example 4R = 10.2×15.2 cm) and the photos are placed at their real size. When printing, choose actual size or 100%, and don’t fit to page, so the photos don’t get larger or smaller.

The tool picks the orientation that holds the most copies, and rotates the photo 90° if that adds more. Thin guide lines at the edge of each photo make cutting easier.
